Climate change requires global solutions and as a global community the EU has introduced the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). This new regulation is forcing business leaders to run a full health check on their supply chain, to make sure they are CBAM compliant.
The CBAM will be in force from 1 October 2023 and will apply to imports of iron and steel, aluminium, cement, fertilizers, hydrogen and electricity. This new measure will have an impact on various sectors: automotive and aeronautics, heavy industry and pharmaceutical.
To help businesses navigate these new complex requirements, KPMG is hosting a webinar to provide an overview of the new regulation and suggest the best approach from a Trade & Customs perspective.
The webinar, which will be held in English on Monday 2 October at 10:30 a.m. (CET), will cover the following topics:
— CBAM: setting the scene
— To-do list for importers
— Key CBAM customs topics
— How KPMG can help
Please complete the following form to attend.
Registration is open until 6:00 p.m. on 1 October.
